Welcome to Christopher Columbus Middle School, home of the Explorers.  I am honored and proud to be principal of Columbus and believe that all our students can achieve with the cooperative efforts of our staff and parents.  Our staff is dedicated to creating a safe and challenging learning environment for all students.  Our goal is to help our students grow intellectually, emotionally and socially in an effort to prepare them to be responsible citizens of our community.

Parents are encouraged to be part of our school community and active partners in their children’s lives and education.  We encourage parents to check agenda books, review students’ work on a daily basis and maintain communication with teachers to help monitor their child’s success.

We additionally try to provide programs that help motivate and encourage students to enjoy the learning and school experience both during and after school.  We hope our parents will take advantage of our Parent Center and participate in other parent organizations, including our PTSA and school councils, on campus.

I look forward to working with students, staff and parents alike and strive to make our experience at Columbus Middle School a positive one.
